When once reading the demo reviews of the music magazine GAFFA one particular caught my attention. I soon contacted the mastermind behind the project: Michael Thorup.
He was a part time musican next to a professional life as a sound engineer and we began working in his luxury apartment studio by the harbour front.
Initially the songs were based on my finished work (lyrics with melody and chords) and Michael recorded and produced them with much respect to my ideas. He also contributed bass on the track What Went Wrong.
That very song was included on the compilation "Denmark Hits You" (Record Service/Kick Records) but never made much attention. However, it didn’t matter much because we already knew that our musical ambitions and ideas were going in too different directions and Michael shortly after teamed up with a female singer.
On all our 3 tracks he invited another female voice to compliment mine. A good choice and the only time I have recorded music singing together with a woman (hope it will happen again some day).
The final thing we did together was a trip to Midtfyns Festival (2nd largest in DK) where he was supposed to perform with his new duo. I contributed backing vocals and we even did one AstroBob song.
